St Mary Bourne branch had a very successful Cheese and Wine Party at the Village Centre on Friday December 8th. Over 35 members attended including our MP, Kit Malthouse, County Councillor Tom Thacker and Borough Councillor John Izett. Chairman James Croser introduced Samuel Carr who had chaired Cambridge University’s Conservative Association and who has become Vice Chairman of the Branch. He will stand as Chairman at the AGM which is being held on Monday January 22nd at 7.30pm at the Village Centre. Councillor Izett emphasised the importance of the forthcoming May 2018 Borough Council elections where we will seek to increase the existing Conservative majority. Kit Malthouse delivered an upbeat and optimistic assessment of the first part of the Brexit talks which had concluded that day. Over £600 was raised for party funds as the cheese and wine had been donated whilst a good time was had by all.
