Recently, local MP, Kit Malthouse, visited local business De La Rue in the constituency.
Founded in 1813, De La Rue has been producing banknotes for over 150 years and passport solutions for over 100 years.
The company produces all Sterling banknotes for the Bank of England and has supplied notes to countries all over the world ever since they struck a deal with Mauritius in 1860.
Today they also make the UK’s biometric passports and produce driving licenses, ID cards, electronic registration systems, tax systems and cash processing solutions for customers globally.
Kit said: "It’s excellent that we have such a fantastically successful and prestigious business here in the constituency, providing great jobs both in North West Hampshire as well as at a number of other sites around the country. Their example as an exporter to more than 140 countries is one that other companies should endeavour to follow."
