This week at PMQs, local MP Kit Malthouse, raised the issue of children in care. The Prime Minister confirmed to him that everything possible is being done to speed up adoption processes so we can reduce the number of kids in care and move them into family homes. Social services also need reform, efforts are being made to recruit the best graduates in the field and failing services need to be taken over quicker. We are in effect all parents to children in care and their welfare and future should be at the front of our efforts at all levels of government.
